Well... I already have a flight booked with American, so luckily I won't have to pay the $15 for my first bag. I will, however, have to pay $25 for a second bag. I'll certainly consider this fee when booking future flights, and factor it into the total cost. Yikes, looks like it is going to be a one-bag trip for me!

I do not agree with them charging passengers for their luggage. It is all ready expensive to travel, why add more money to it. Do they not think about a family household who has 2 or more children. If you fly with everyone, that is going to get expensive because you will have to check in a lot of luggage. How fair is that. Maybe these airlines should think about other people before how much there CEOs need to make. Why don't they take a pay cut and help out the economy. I will not fly on that airline again. At the rate they are charging for a ticket and now luggage, its cheaper to drive than to fly.

I understand gas prices are hurting everyone but the top gas CEOs. If they need more money, raise the price of the ticket and tell people that. Charging for luggage looks like greed, and when most are hurting just to put gas in their own tanks to get to work its uncalled for. People need to stand up and say no to this or other airlines will take notice and then we will pay for luggage on every flight regardless of which airline you choose.
