Tropical Storm Blanca and a disturbance over the central Gulf of California are giving us a tropical moisture surge the next few days. This warm, moist air helps to destabilize our atmosphere. Although dry air has taken over much of our mid and upper levels, squashing rain chance for most of us today, that tropical air will help rev up our rain chances mid-week. Then we get another break at the end of the week before our more traditional monsoon set-up returns early next week. That should get our storms going once again. In the meantime, while we are a bit drier this week our temperatures are going to be hotter! Get ready for triple digit heat every afternoon.
