TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - Strong high pressure is still bottled up over the western United States as the flow from west to east has stalled. However, there are now signs that the block will be broken.
Slowly, the high pressure will weaken. This will result in slightly cooler temperatures by Friday.
Then, a low pressure storm south of the Gulf of Alaska will begin to move into the northwestern United States and southwestern Canada. This will result in breezy and cooler weather next week, with highs in the middle 70s.
