TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - The Delta Aquarid Meteor shower peaks early Friday morning.
Sunrise is at 5:37 AM so the best time for viewing will be very early morning, 2 to 3 AM.
Look to the south-southeast to wish upon a shooting star.
The meteors can peak up to 15 per hour, which is not as impressive as other meteor showers, but it's still a sight for which it is worth setting you alarm clock.
There are some spoilers in our skies that will make it hard to see the meteor shower.
First are the monsoon clouds.
With good storms chances all week, leftover storm clouds may cover the sky overnight.
Also, after a full moon earlier this week, the night skies are still bright.
The darker the skies, the better the stargazing and meteor shower viewing.
